Sarasota Family Photographer | A Golden Beach Session with the Sweetest Family
One of my favorite parts about being a Sarasota family photographer is getting to meet families at the beginning of their story here in Sarasota—and then having the privilege of photographing them as their children grow.
This beautiful family recently moved to Sarasota and was looking for something that absolutely melted my heart: a forever family photographer. Someone who could get to know their girls, capture this season of their lives, and continue documenting all of those beautiful little changes and milestones for years to come!
The fact that they chose me to do that is something I truly don’t take for granted…
Even sweeter, they found me through another wonderful family I’ve photographed for years. There is really no greater compliment as a photographer than when one of my families trusts me enough to send their friends my way. 🙂
A Golden Sarasota Beach Family Photography Session
For their first session, we headed to one of Sarasota’s beautiful beaches and had the dreamiest golden evening light.
The girls played in the sand, hugged each other, loved on their mom and dad, and were simply themselves. There was no need to force anything. We let them play and interact, and I photographed all of those little moments in between—the ones that end up meaning so much as the years go by.
Watching these two little girls together honestly brought tears to my eyes. They were like tiny best friends, and they reminded me so much of my own children when they were little. Those years feel like they will last forever when you’re living them, and then somehow they’re gone in the blink of an eye.
That’s exactly why I love family photography so much.
Of course I always want to create the beautiful family portrait where everyone is together, but I also want the photographs that show what your family felt like during this season. The way your daughter wrapped her arms around you. The way the girls giggled together. Little sandy feet. A dad scooping up his child. The snuggles, movement, laughter and connection that make your family yours.
Finding Your Forever Family Photographer in Sarasota
When families contact me looking for a family photographer in Sarasota, Florida, I hope they’re not simply looking for someone to take pictures once.

Years from now, I want these girls’ parents to look back at these photographs and remember exactly how little their daughters were, how much they adored one another and how it felt to be starting this new chapter of their family’s life here in Sarasota.
And I’m already looking forward to seeing how much these sweet girls have grown the next time they’re in front of my camera.
