Juliette’s One Year Milestone Session at Selby Gardens | Sarasota Baby Photographer
There is something so special about watching babies grow during their first year. As a Sarasota baby photographer, one of my favorite parts of my job is getting to document all of those precious milestones—from newborn snuggles to sitting up at six months and celebrating that exciting first birthday.
Sweet Juliette recently celebrated her one-year session at Selby Gardens, and I can hardly believe how quickly the year has flown by! It feels like just yesterday I was photographing her newborn session in their beautiful home, and now here she is, full of personality, smiles, and curiosity as she explores!
Juliette has been part of my Baby Plan, which includes newborn, six-month, and one-year photography sessions. These milestone sessions are such a wonderful way to preserve all of the incredible changes that happen during a baby’s first year. Every stage is unique, and I love helping families create a collection of images that tells the story of their baby’s first year.
For her one-year session, we met at the beautiful Selby Gardens in Sarasota. The gardens have the perfect backdrop with their lush greenery, beautiful pathways, and iconic banyan trees. We spent time photographing Juliette beneath the banyan roots and in the soft green grass, where she looked absolutely adorable. The natural beauty of the gardens paired perfectly with her sweet personality and bright smile.
One of my favorite parts of the session was having Juliette’s big sister join in for some photos. Watching siblings interact always creates some of the most genuine and heartwarming images. The love between these two girls was so evident, and I know these photographs will become treasured family memories for years to come.
As a Sarasota family photographer and Sarasota newborn photographer, I always encourage parents to consider milestone photography during their baby’s first year. While newborn photos capture those tiny details that change so quickly, six-month and one-year sessions document important developmental milestones and the growing bond within the family. Juliette’s session was filled with laughter, cuddles, and so many sweet moments. It was a beautiful day at Selby Gardens, and I am so grateful to have been part of documenting her first year.
