we would like to take this lovely day to thank all of our loyal wonderful beautiful clients which remind us again and again why we are lucky to be doing what we do…..
these past few weeks have been quite hard around here… not the shooting part of our jobs but the behind the scenes work… the reason for this frustration has been our lovely internet provider Verizon… We have not had internet for 15 days… yes… I did say 15! Now I know that internet is not like food or water or the air we breathe… we can live without it… we can… but it is a little tricky.. especially when it is the busiest time of year for us and we use it for our business.
I have learned a lot of lessons through these 15 days…
I have learned that we indeed top of the list most defanitly will be needing a studio/ gallery/ office in the coming year.
We need to separate our lives with our business… we will not be accepting calls after 5pm and never on a Saturday night at 10:30pm while we are eating steak and drinking wine.
We will not be on the computer while we are off work… our hours will be set and definate! No checking emails or facebooking while we should be playing with our kids at the beach or stirring a big pot of soup!
There is life after internet… even if our internet is gone for 15 days we had to press on and not let it ruin our holidays!
We have amazing understanding clients which we love dearly and are thankful for every day!
We have totally learned a very important lesson in our business… a crucial important top priority in our company… We have always taken great pride in Blonde Cow Photography… as we feel #1 we are the best at customer service!!! ok we feel pretty happy with the ways we photograph as well… but if we do not satisfy our clients after we photograph them … then how will that leave them feeling about our whole Blonde Cow Experience…..
well… after dealing with Verizon for 15 days… I know now just how important it is to stay true to our policy! Sometimes we get a few perk ups with clients wondering why we charge certain prices for products… why we do not charge $1 for a 4×6… why we prefer to not sell a disk and wipe our hands clean of our experience… well… how do I say this…
we are artist… artist who will do pretty much anything to provide our clients with the best product simply to make them smile every day. We have the top of the line equipment which we update every year to stay up to date with technology. I know it takes 1-2 hours to photograph our beautiful clients but that’s when the day starts for us… we come home… and spend about a 1/2 hour per image on making each image perfect so we feel proud of it in so many ways… we spend time inviting you to view them… setting the mood… lighting some candles… sharing our joy in seeing you enthralled in your images and loving your entire experience. It’s goosebump city to me! it takes time to upload images, creating slideshows, etc… it’s time well spent because it creates a Wonderful Blonde Cow Experience that you cannot get from your local drug store which charges 20cents for a 4×6.
We are all about creating a piece of ART… a nice sized piece which you can walk into the room and feel good about adding that as a piece to your walls. This is what we do… this is what makes us feel good about our path.
in this story about experiences… I have been bounced about calling customer services, talking to different countries… learning peoples names, trying to stay calm, trying to be pleasant because I know that … it’s how you yell into the forest that will determine what will come out of it….
day after day night after night… losing time with my family so that I could solve the issue because if I did not stay on top of this issue they would have swept it under the rug and maybe never would have gotten my internet working. Mattias has spent many evenings in Starbucks using their hot spots and many others in town for that matter… many evenings where he should have been sitting in our backyard with our toes up sipping egg nog… we cannot have those evenings back and are not holding grudges with a big company but now we know that our family is most important and it is beautiful to have our business out of the home and at certain specific hours (not at 10pm at starbucks) … it’s our life.
a few examples of our good customer service which we do not do just so we can blog about them but do because it’s our backbone to our company….
… we dropped off a product to a client in her son’s school cubby and when she went to receive it in the end of the day… her son’s lunch box leaked all over it and it was being used as a sponge instead…. so instead of us huffing and puffing… we immediately got her a new product no questions asked! no huffing… no puffing… it’s nature… things happen and we make clients happy!
… a new client ordered a GORGEOUS 16×20 matted piece of art… it took our breath away literally… we kept it in it’s original plastic from our lab to protect it and today I got a call from her to tell me that there was a little scratch at the top… I was totally embarrassed and before we even called her back… we called our lab and rushed another exact one to her home… NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!… She was very satisfied and we were too!
This is good customer service at it’s best!!!!!!!!!!
bad customer service is how we were treated with Verizon… calling and having to bend over backwards with them… staying home for 2 days from 9-6 to wait for a technician to never show up… then luckily we have a fabulous client which knows a Verizon technician… he called him and magically we had a technician to come this morning at 8am… he was determined… we are online finally today! It’s all about who you know I guess… I got a lot of promises from different supervisors but nothing ever happened until today…
at Blonde Cow Photography it’s all about KARMA…
We love all of you so much! Thank you for your patients through this coo coo time… We look forward to many more amazing experiences…..
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL OF YOU!!!
xoxo
